Current position

As a charitable organisation our number one priority is the health and wellbeing of our staff and residents.

On 31st January 2022 the Government made an announcement that there will no longer be any restrictions placed on visiting a care home. However, we will continue to have a robust programme of testing for residents, staff and essential care givers. Visitors to the home no longer have to test but we would still request that you do if you have the means. So we, as a caring organisation, can continue to thrive and support those in need.

Steps we are taking

At Silverways our hygiene standards are always a top priority, however, with the virus, we have asked staff to increase their cleaning routines. This includes washing hands, using disinfectant sprays and alcohol wipes,

.

We have a dedicated team monitoring the situation with calls routed to their mobiles and homes.

Coming next

We are closely monitoring any updates from the Government and will continue to do so, and in turn will adjust the way we work in line with this advice.

We know this has been a challenging time for all, but in particular our residents that are over 70 years of age. We will always do our utmost to ensure residents are safe and protected.

We appreciate your understanding as the situation resolves and reassure you that we are available to support either you or your relatives at all times.
