We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide ongoing care, supervision, and support to our residents during both daytime and overnight hours.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Completing comprehensive resident assessments and monitoring ongoing health needs.

• Administering medications and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.

• Monitoring residents’ conditions and responding promptly to changes in health status.

• Managing and responding appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies.

• Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.

• Promoting resident safety, dignity, comfort, and overall wellbeing.

• Communicating important health updates with residents’ families, carers, and the wider healthcare team.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

We are currently recruiting a Senior Night Carer to provide high-quality care and support to our residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.

​

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing compassionate, person-centred care and support to residents throughout overnight shifts.

• Assisting residents with personal care and other daily needs as required.

• Completing regular night checks and responding promptly to residents’ needs and call bells.

• Monitoring residents and reporting any changes in their health or wellbeing appropriately.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.

• Supervising and supporting night care staff, providing guidance and ensuring care standards are consistently maintained.

• Responding calmly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or challenging situations.

• Promoting residents’ independence, dignity, choice, and privacy at all times.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of care.

 

The role requires strong leadership skills, compassion, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, while maintaining a professional and person-centred approach to care.

Are you looking to make a positive difference in your spare time? We have a variety of volunteer positions available at Silverways Nursing Home. From spending time socialising with the residents, to helping out with our activities programme or even taking some of the residents on a short walk to the local amenities.
